On being a writer

I am a word addict.

I can't help it. I was writing in my head since I was four.

I started writing novels at eight. They were terrible.

I've been a reporter, a pr person and a marketer all requiring writing.

I've published 11 novels and have several unpublished ones as shown on my website: www.donnalanenelson.com

I write blog after blog.

When I am not at the computer words are running around in my head. Sometimes they become stories.

Unlike other addicts, I don't want to stop. I will never attend a WA (Writers Anonymous) meeting.

If you ask me who I am, I will say, "I am a writer." I can live with it because I can't live any other way.
