Beauty is in the eye of the beholder

This little dog visits La Noisette with his owner, a tall French blond with flair almost every morning. They breeze through the door and head for their normal table.

He is good at pretending he's a starving pup, although he's pushing 11, old for his breed I'm told.

More than one patron has been known to slip him a morsel under the table. He knows who the marshmallows among the regulars are.

And he's smart. When his owner let him out the side door he ran around and came back in the front. Why should he go home if there's a chance of something good.

I think he's adorable. Of course the punched in face reminds me of my Japanese chins.

Rick thinks he's ugly. If we get a dog he wants one whose butt is hidden under fur.

Beauty is personal.
