Chute and chatting

My parents used to blame my weaknesses on each other and my strengths on themselves.

One thing where there is no doubt that the three of us share is chatting with strangers until they aren't strangers any longer.

I never knew if my parents had met the people they were talking with or not.

Today I needed to talk with the concierge to locate the place to drop the trash. She was eating a piece of orange and gave me the info on where the chute was. We then chatted about places to live, language, retirement and anything that popped into our minds.

A client arrived and I went out to get lunch.

It isn't important if the talk-to-strangers DNA came from my mother or father. I just know it makes a day much, much more pleasant.
