99 cents both a donation and a good read

 Lost and Found in Camden

They met on line through the International Women’s Writers Guild based in New York. They lived in Switzerland, Germany, the US, Israel, UK, Australia and US. There was one woman from each decade 20-60 but they all shared a passion for writing.

Together they decided to put together an anthology with interlocking stories. E-mails flew back and forth across continents and oceans.

Where to set the stories was the first hurdle. Camden Market, that funky London area with all kinds of stalls selling everything imaginable, made sense. Photos were shared so all the writers had a feel for the place.

Each writer developed a character than chose another character to flit through her own story.

Writing, rewriting, rewriting and polishing took place.

As the book was being developed, women shared their lives: adoptions, births, job disappointments, losses of loved ones. Some met in person, some have never met face to face, but all of them “know” each other’s dreams and pains. There were major illnesses and recoveries, except one of the writers succumbed to cancer. The book is dedicated to her memory.
